I’VE MOVED.

BAILEY ORR PHOTOGRAPHY HAS MOVED TO THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA IN LIGHT OF A NEW JOB.

I'm beyond excited to announce my new position as the Assistant Photographer for the Texas Rangers baseball team in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Alongside weddings and couples, sports photography has been a passion of mine throughout my time at Texas A&M University. After graduating in May 2021, I stayed on as a part-time staff photographer with A&M Athletics as I figured out my next step in my career.
Tackling both my athletics job and my business has been something I've done for years, luckily most of my couples have been in the area of College Station or Houston, making scheduling easy. Because I'm so passionate about both career paths, I learned ways to balance the two worlds and give both the commitment they deserve and require. As my business has grown, it did become slightly more difficult but not yet impossible.
As I wrestled with the ongoing dilemma of giving one up all-together or continuing to find the balance to keep both careers, the Texas Rangers photography assistant position opened up in late January. I applied for the job seeing that a career in MLB has been a dream of mine since I started sports photography. Baseball has been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember. Within one week, I went from finding a nice balance working in College Station, ready to take on weddings full-time, to my life completely flipping with this new decision. This opportunity to work in MLB was handed to me, something I've dreamed of, yet the thought of what it would do to my business was on the very front of my mind. I knew that this change would cause scheduling issues with my clients and my work with the Rangers.

My decision came down to this: my passion has been and will always be photography. That passion is not limited to couples and weddings, it’s not limited to sports and athletes. My passion lies in capturing moments, memories, and stories wherever that may be. The fact that I have the amazing opportunity to explore all aspects of photography this early in my life… it’s an opportunity I would be crazy to pass up. Furthermore, what are the chances that out of 32 MLB teams, the one out of two teams in Texas is the one I’d have the opportunity to be going to. Dallas Fort-Worth is only a few hours from everything I'm used to and all my clients. Though it would be difficult and a little more time-consuming, I knew I could make it work. This was the best outcome for a sticky situation.

I moved to Dallas in the middle of February, looking to find my place here and keep my roots in Texas.
For my business: I’m 100% dedicated to maintaining the efforts I put into Bailey Orr Photography. I’m dedicated to photographing my couples milestones at the same energy and effort I was while I was in College Station. My goal is to continue this transition with as little change as possible on my clients end. A few hours further from my original home base and a new schedule with the MLB games should not be a reason I don’t give the same dedication and efforts to my couples and clients. Bailey Orr Photography is the same business with the same passion to tell the story of your wedding, engagement, or graduating achievements.

In light of all of this, your patience is appreciated. Please understand that my travel will become more tedious, my time will become less free, and matching schedules will become a slightly difficult. But my dedication to being available and working with my clients has not. I promise to work endlessly on putting my clients first and make sure I keep my promises to them. In return I hope for understanding as I navigate through this next chapter of my life.

To my future clients: I will put in the same effort as I always have, Bailey Orr Photography is not changing, just a different schedule! I have created new options, new services, and more opportunities that will help ensure I can give that same dedication as before, please ask me about these new options!

I’m so incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter and I can’t wait to capture so many more moments with you guys.
